Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning (GMALL) is excited to partner with the Manchester Historical Society to present this talk about the history of winter sports in Manchester, VT. With winter days just ahead, enjoy a look back at winter sports as they develop in Manchester-and-the-Mountains from the Victorian era through the 1980s, from snowshoeing to skiing and snowboarding. Manchester even hosted dog-sled racing at the 1936 Winter Carnival!
