Childlike in his innocence but grotesque in form, Frankenstein’s bewildered creature is cast out into a hostile universe by his horror-struck maker. Meeting with cruelty wherever he goes, the increasingly desperate and vengeful Creature determines to track down his creator and strike a terrifying deal.
Scientific responsibility, parental neglect, cognitive development and the nature of good and evil are embedded within this thrilling and deeply disturbing classic tale, based on the novel by Mary Shelley.
Directed by Academy Award-winner Danny Boyle, Frankenstein features Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller in the roles of Victor Frankenstein and his creation, respectively.
This screening is offered in partnership with the Southern Vermont Arts Center.
This film is distributed by BYExperience.
The screening will take place on Saturday, January 11 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm in the Arkell Pavilion at Southern Vermont Arts Center.
