Water Talks
Tuesday, May 24 from 5:30 – 7:00pm at Manchester Community Library
Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning (GMALL) is proud to present Water Talks– a conversation between artist, activist, and teacher Betsy Damon, and climate specialist Dr. Edward Cameron. Betsy Damon has focused on virtually every aspect of water during the past four decades, from the essence of water drops to whole water systems and their connections to life on earth. Over the years, she has borne witness to the decline in water quality around the world as a result of human activities. Her new book explores our interdependence with water in every aspect of life and that genuine, lasting solutions require a fundamental understanding and empirical knowledge of water and its role in all life on Earth. The discussion will focus on Betsy’s lifelong work and her just released book, Water Talks. Registration for the talk is $18 per person in advance, or $22 per person at the door.
