Join beaver expert and inventor of the Beaver Deceiver, Skip Lisle, as we walk the Mill Brook Marsh in search of beaver activity at Smokey House Center. Skip has a Master’s Degree in Wildlife management and has spent much of his career improving wildlife habitat with a huge emphasis on protecting beavers. His invention, the Beaver Deceiver, was developed as a way to allow beavers to continue to improve the wetland ecosystems where they live but at the same time protect the culverts and roads they are often blamed for disrupting. Skip will talk about what makes beavers so important for the Smokey House Center landscape and will be there to answer any questions you might have.
