BBA’s annual event, Pink the Rink was initially organized in 2015 by Nate Severance (BBA ’17) to honor his mother, Hope Severance who fought a courageous battle with breast cancer before succumbing to the disease in 2008. Hope’s memory and devotion to the BBA hockey program and Manchester community live on through this annual event. Every year our BBA Hockey family “pinks the rink” and raises funds to support a local family in their fight against cancer. As many of us know, when a loved one is ill, it can take a toll on the entire family. The goal of this fundraiser event is to raise money to provide a family impacted by breast cancer with the opportunity to spend a relaxing, healing, and memorable weekend together.
